Cancers, you are "home bodies" and prefer familiar surroundings that do not change.  Your home is private and feels safe because it is your protection from the outside world.  Your sign is the crab and like the crab you identify with your dwelling. Like your sign's symbol, your home is the hard outer shell or your enclosure, but inside, you want a warm, caring interior.  You need this safe haven to relax and regenerate yourself.  Privacy is important to you but you do have a tendency to isolate yourself.

You are attached to the past and your home is filled with personal things that you have collected over the years.  Each item has its own special memories and has a story attached to it.  Since you care about and are inspired by the past, you have a sentimental attachment to things.  Your home is filled with your collections.  You have difficulty parting with things, because you have the desire to hold onto what is familiar.  Because you honor tradition, you like antiques and nostalgic objects.  You surround yourself with things reminiscent of the past.  In accessories, you love silver, glass, ceramics and photography.

You are very conservative in your decorating style.  Classic traditional looks will serve you well because they will transcend time.  You prefer rounded shapes and curving, flowing lines in furniture. You like dark "homey" colors but not earthy ones.  With the moon as your ruling planet, a touch of a silver finish, watery blue or pearly white would enhance any Cancer color scheme.

You are the CEO's of your home.  Being the executive that you are, you do rule the home and the family.  You may have a tendency to be a control freak, compulsively tidy and a perfectionist by nature.  Your desire to care for and look after others tends to make you a homemaker and a gourmet cook, so order and a big, magnificent kitchen are important.
